School characteristic

The Private Conservatory of Dance is a specific type of secondary vocational school which provides complex education, both theoretical and practical needed for a career of a professional dance artist.
The study at the Private Conservatory in Košice is intended for those students that have finished the 9th year of elementary school and is only available for full time students.

Degrees of education

The school provides:

►Full Secondary vocational education - Advanced secondary study (ISCED 3A)
1st – 4th year of Conservatory
Education in the 1st till the 4th year is oriented to gain general basis for education and key competences of advanced secondary education which ends by passing the leaving examination

It prepares student for: continual 6 - year education in the 5th and the 6th year of conservatory further university education application in practice

►Higher vocational education – Tertiary study (ISCED 5B)
5th – 6th year of conservatory
Advanced education in the 5th and the 6th year of conservatory is oriented to gain higher vocational education depending on the focus of activity, which demands both practical and theoretical abilities. Within the scope of continual 6-year education, student has to pass the leaving examination at the end of the 4th year. After successful passing of the school leaving examination, our students have possibility to apply for the study at the University of Music Art or at any other universities with specializations are in human arts.


Student´s Profile
A graduate of the specialization on Dance is an artistic personality ready for professional artistic activities, for artistic – pedagogical work at the elementary level of School of Art and for the study of dance and related specializations at the university level. Full secondary education finished by the school leaving examination and higher vocational education including pedagogical competence based on a compulsory performance and scenic experience forms performing dance artists, or dance instructors in the way that enables them to utilize their abilities, knowledge and skills in the filed of culture and arts in their own professional career.

School fees
Amount for study is 600 € a year
By partial payment - 30€ abatement

Payment methods:
● annually - € 570 paid at least by September the 1st of an academic year.
● bi - annually - € 300 paid by September 1st and March 1st of competent academic year
● each quarter year- € 150 paid by September 1st, December 1st, March 1st and June 1st of an academic year
● monthly - € 60 paid from September 1st to June 1st in the first day of particular month of an academic year
